Upon the edge of the world I've waited
To kill the echoes of misbelief
Safe from the sound of a thousand voices
Swaying wherever the wind blows

My home is right in between horizons
Over the sky and across the sea
Unopened treasures and buried secrets
Keep it above common ground

When tomorrow comes my way
I will face the end of time
And bow to the unknown
Until I hit the ground you'll see
Some of us are out of reach
And far beyond control

The pull of gravity keeps me on track
I feel the dirt underneath my feet
Too many questions are never answered
I stack 'em up high as I grow old
And if it only appears to make sense
Inside the borders of mystery
I'll be around to escape the rapture
And keep it above common ground
